About Us

Our History

Our family business began just after World War II when the late Fred Richmond began working out of his home in Jackson in 1946 to serve the growing insurance needs of his friends and neighbors. While growing up in the Depression, Fred had seen firsthand the devastation many hardworking individuals experienced when they lost their most valued possessions, changing their lives forever.

Fred was committed to helping individuals feel more secure about their future. Working with individuals one-on-one, Fred carefully helped them choose policies that met their unique needs. This consideration earned the Richmond Agency its reputation for extraordinary personal service, integrity and value that continues to this day.

Fred’s son, Chuck Sr., could see how his father’s career helped individuals feel more secure about their future, so he joined the business. Chuck Sr. is now president and CEO of the Richmond Agency where his three children now work with him, making them the third generation to carry on in the business. They include Brian, Kim and Michael.
